2008 - 2024

The Festival of the Senses in Llandeilo is a vibrant & free pre-christmas event that celebrates the town’s rich cultural heritage and community spirit. First held in 2008 with a budget of £200.00, it was born out of a desire to boost local commerce and bring residents together in a joyous celebration of the senses, featuring an array of sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and tactile experiences.

Held over a weekend in November, the festival was originally conceived by local traders and volunteers who were determined to showcase the unique character and charm of Llandeilo. The picturesque market town, nestled in the heart of Carmarthenshire, provides an ideal backdrop for an event that draws traders and attendees from near and far.

The inaugural festival was a resounding success, drawing significant crowds and providing substantial boosts to local businesses. Its blend of artisan stalls, local crafts, food and drink tastings, live music, and street performances quickly established it as a key event in the town’s calendar.

Throughout the years, the Festival of the Senses has grown in both scale and reputation. Each iteration has introduced new attractions while maintaining its core focus on celebrating local talent and enterprise. Fun and entertainment to stimulate all the senses in the runup to Christmas.
